I write this to warn everyone about the dreadful aftercare service received from Hotpoint.After 4 months one of the plastic drawers in the freezer department cracked and cut my hand. When I rang for a replacement,as it was obviously still under guarantee,I was told by a young man this was not covered under the guarantee and had I have read my manual(which I had never had with the product) I would know this.I stated that surely a huge company like Hotpoint could afford a plastic cover. He replied that Hotpoint would have no money if people like me kept calling for replacement parts.I spoke to customer care who offered me an extended warranty(at quite a considerable cost)at which point I put the phone down.I ordered a replacement plastic front from a company on line for �17.Never will I buy any Hotpoint product again.
